Extract is a Web Information Management System which allows users to store and search many kind of structured data in a database (database records, directories and files) classified in categories like in file system browser. - Extract have been developped with the active support of Synertal company in France (http://www.synertal.fr), and has been successfully used daily as collaborative system in this company for three years.
- Extract can be used as EXTRAnet Collaborative Tool to store in a single referential, the category tree, structured data (articles, project, address book...) and documents.
- Through the web interface users can easily search, view, add, edit and delete database record with forms for each type of data, and upload or download attached files.
- Extract use Samba as a file server and index in the database shares and directories as categories and files as database records. A unified Access Control Lists (ACL) support is implemented for data and files.
- Extract is PHP(5) application running and LAMP platform with Samba server (ACL flag enabled).
- Extract is free ("libre") software under GPL v3 license.
